Welcome at Het Zonnehuis

The house was built in 1929 by architect Valentijn Vaerwyck as a summer residence for General Timmerman. The architectural character was inspired by the famous English architect Edwin Lutyens.

The manor was completely restored and transformed into an exclusive Bed & Breakfast by Bertrand Depry and Jan Vermast, featuring English antiques, fabrics, and wallpapers from Mulberry, GP&J Baker, and Ralph Lauren.

The Zonnehuis consists of 2 parts: on the one hand the B&B with 5 rooms, and on the other hand the Westwing, the family cottage for 4 people.

The extensive breakfast (from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.) is served at the 200-year-old family table or at separate tables, both indoors and outdoors.

Fresh apple juice, smoked salmon, Greek yogurt with fresh fruit, homemade meat salad, regional cheeses, English jams, Brussels waffles, eggs prepared to your liking. The bread comes from the local baker.

Guests enjoy the gracious interior of the house and the tranquility of the garden with a heated swimming pool (30 degrees, from May to October) and, in the winter season, our wood-fired barrel sauna.

Parking at the Zonnehuis is free. Electric cars can be charged at our four charging stations.

The Zonnehuis was the proud winner of the television program “Met Vier in Bed” (VTM)
